Learned the Semester

I learned many kinds of writing styles, such as Narrative, Descriptive, Process, Compare/Contrast, Argument, Business Letter, and Cause & Effect. It helps me so much. Next semester, I want to apply for university, so I need to write a business letter for my adviser. The teacher taught me how to write a business letter and correct my business letter. It saves my preparing time, and a good business letter makes a nice impress for my adviser. In the past, I only knew how to write Argument and Cause & Effects. Now I have learned Process and Compare/Contrast, and I have seven good examples for seven writing styles. I think I can suit my new university life.

My Bucket List

As for myself, I have always wanted to travel to Europe, too. However, I want to go to France and Germany. When I was young, I‘ve liked European churches. I really want to see Notre Dame de Pairs and Kolner Dom Koln. They are both churches, and they are also beautiful buildings. I saw the so many pictures about these churches. They are baroque architecture, but they have different styles. I want to go there to see their true face. Then I want to go to the French café to eat Macaroon. That is crisp and soft. Before I die, I would like to take a trip to Europe.

euphemism

In China, people also say so many euphemisms.  Instead of saying a person died, we say he takes a long sleep, goes back his hometown, or has a good relax. If a girl wants to reject a boy, she says that she really wants him to be her brother. Instead of saying silver dollars, we say Yuandatou. If the person didn’t finish the work, his leader says that he is very good to satirize that he did work well. We also use a common word to say a bad good, such as ground instead of opium. We sometimes take apart of our word. For example, if we say army, made of hill and eight in Chinese word, we sometimes take apart the word to hill and eight.

Good Points and Bad Points about China

I have thought my country also has some good points and bad points since I read teacher’s blog.  One of good points is culture. China has five thousands history, and it teaches us to be kind.  If someone needed to help, we have to help.  In some news about difficult people, they needed to help very much, people who didn’t have relationships with those people help them and didn’t care their losing.  This prove Chinese idiom, help came from all sides when disasters struck. For example, there is news that a girl had two genders and needed to cancel the one in the Chinese famous newspaper last year. She was an orphan, so she didn’t have enough money. The second day after day about noticing the news, she collected 2 million Yuan. One of good points is China is very peace. In my country, we didn’t have very war. People can enjoy their lives. However, it also has bad points, such as a large difference between rich people and poor people. My country government is working hard to change the environment, and they already have done so many thing to make everyone become happy.

My Family

I grew up in the happy family.  My parents love each other and love me.  Since I was young, I’ve felt the responsibility about protecting my family. This is my parents taught me.  My father went to Hong Kong to work in order to make more money and give us a good life. My mother took care of me by herself, and she also need to take care my grandma.  I think my parents are both hard. My grandma also likes me very much. Before she passed away, she often went to my home to see me because I took the last year of high school.  I miss my grandma very much, but I can’t see her.  Recently, my old uncle went to find my grandma.  I hope they can get happy in the other world!

Diffreences Between China amd the U.S.

I think there are many differences between China and the U.S..  First of all, when I go to the shopping mall or offices, I can take the bus or taxi. However, some buses are slow, and we need to wait too much time. The public traffic isn't developed. The second is that we don't need to pay tips after we have a lunch. I remember that I didn't know we need to pay tips to waiters when I first went to american restaurant. Finally, if I add oil in China, there are a person helping me, so I don't need to know how to use a gasoline machine. I should know how to use the gasoline machine because everything need by youself. In short, I think China and the U.S. are so different.

My Dream Job

When I was young, I liked to read comic books. I thought that girls were so beautiful, boys were very handsome. The stories were also funny. At the time, I wanted to become a seller who sold comic books. I thought this is so cool, and I could not only read comic books, but I also didn't pay anything. First of all, I just needed to rent a store and bought a lot of comic books. Then I would stay at here all the day to sell and read comic books. This sounded so good! However, I've never wanted to become a seller since I went to high school.

  Hello guys, welcome to my world! I'm Enlei Ma, but the name's pronunciation is too difficult for the other people. By the way, I got a English name yesterday. I like the name's sound very much because it like my real name. The name is Elaine. Now I will introduce myself to you. I come form China. I was born in a big city near Beijing, the capital of my country. I have been there 8 months ago. At the beginning, I lived in homestay. This makes me suit environment. Now I have my own apartment. This is fine. I transfer to Cal State Fullerton. I want to learn business. I like CSUF. This is a good university. I have learned a lot from there. This's all! Nice to meet you!! hum hum.^_^
